From Feasts to Famine: How the Church Lost Its Way

Long before the Church accepted divorce, living together before marriage, (just pick a sin that hasn't normalized). The Church has abandoned the feasts of YHVH. And with them, it lost its calendar, its compass, and its covenant. What began as a drift has become a collapse. Now the Church floats aimlessly in a sea of confusion, no longer marked by God’s rhythm but by man’s rebellion.

Is it even a church anymore? More and more, it's just a club. A place to network.

The loss of the feasts wasn't just a change in liturgy. It was a loss of alignment. YHVH's appointed times taught us who He is, who we are, and how we fit into His story. They kept us tethered to His design: covenant, sacrifice, repentance, deliverance, and future glory. Without them, the Church began to define its faith around sentiment instead of substance.

Then came the cultural compromises:

Divorce became normalized.

Preachers softened their messages.

Truth was traded for tithe$$$.

Pastors stopped being shepherds and became motivational speakers.

The pastors have become the wolves. The very men who were called to guard the flock now lead it into confusion and compromise, all with polished branding and catchy slogans. And the sheep follow, unaware that they are being led not beside still waters, but toward the slaughter, coffee in hand.

The fox is in the hen house. Predators have taken the pulpit. They have molested the innocent, manipulated the vulnerable, and used God's name as a cloak for evil. Children were silenced, families were destroyed, and congregations looked away in fear or ignorance. All wrapped in a tax exempt bow.

This isn’t just church failure. It’s spiritual treason.

Now we, the Church, have allowed the beast to infiltrate our borders, our families, our businesses, and our government. We have redefined truth, compromised holiness, and sold our birthright for comfort.

But this pattern is not new.

What did YHVH do when His people strayed?

He warned.

He waited.

Then He withdrew. This is terrifying.

He sent prophets crying in the wilderness. He allowed foreign powers to invade. The same things are happening to the West now!

He handed them over to captivity, not because He hated them, but because they abandoned Him first. We did this! We allowed this to happen.

And yet, He always preserved a remnant. Those who remembered. Those who repented. Those who returned.

We are that remnant.

It’s time to return to the feasts. To return to covenant. To truth. To holiness. To shepherds who lay down their lives for the sheep. To the Word who teaches us when and how.

The question is no longer, "What did God do then?" The question is: What will we do now?

What if we began celebrating YHVH’s feasts again? What might change in our churches, families, and lives?

Teshuva : turn from your sin.

Return to the feasts that teach us about our Savior, Yeshua.

Start now. The fall feasts begin soon. Yom Teruah is this month. The trumpet is sounding — will you be found awake or asleep?
