"Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. So be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves." (Matthew 10:16)
YHVH is not tolerant—He is holy. He does not bless every belief or excuse every sin. He has spoken clearly through His Word, and He commands obedience, not compromise.
For too long, Christians have confused kindness with silence, and compassion with compromise. In trying to be gentle, we forgot to be shrewd. In trying to avoid offense, we tolerated what YHVH condemns. This is sin, and we must repent.
Yeshua did not tolerate lies. Paul did not tolerate false gospels. The apostles did not tolerate idolatry. Why should we call “tolerance” a virtue when Scripture calls it disobedience?
We are called to patience, mercy, and love but never to indifference. To love someone is not to affirm their sin; it is to call them to truth. Christ Himself commanded us to be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Shrewd enough to discern lies. Pure enough to cling to truth.
Tolerance of people? Yes. Tolerance of sin? Never.
The church must return to courage. The truth must be spoken, the gospel must be preached, and the lies of this age must be rejected.
Repent of the sin of tolerance. Embrace the virtue of truth.
